Catching Up.

Wow, I just was checking out everyone's blog this evening and realized we haven't written in quite some time. Well, the month of June is more than half done. I am spending the weeks up north alone while Jason is alone in Hudson. He has a lot of work seminars in June and I think Mark is enjoying having him back at the office, but I sure do miss him during the week. I have been going home to Hudson each weekend, which has been a lot of driving. We are still in the process of finishing our basement. All the wall colors are up and I LOVE THEM! We even had the upstairs painted, it is looking like a whole different house. I think my favorite so far is the kitchen. This week, we are getting parts of the floor in the basement Acid Stained, which is basically painted concrete. We are hoping it will have some copper and brown tones. Then I believe next week the trim will go up and the rest of the woodwork. Jason said that the cabinets for the bar were delivered yesterday. I can't wait to see the finished product.

Last weekend, Jason was on a 4-day golf trip with 13 other guys to Kohler, WI to playing the courses at Whistling Straits. These courses are along Lake Michigan and very difficult. There has already been a PGA tournament there and another will be there next year. Jason had a great time playing 6 (18-hole) rounds in 4 days. I think he was a bit exhausted, but he said he played well. I was so happy that he was able to do something like this because he rarely takes a day off of work to enjoy himself. Knowing him though, he probably was in contact with his co-workers and clients regarding the markets. While Jason was on his trip, I spent the weekend with my friends and neighbors, Kaylan and Dina. We also had a great time. We went to a cooking class, a show at the Gutherie, and a brunch cruise on Lake Minnetonka. I saw Gopher Football Coach, Tim Brewster's, home on the lake---not too shabby of a place (the whole FB team could probably stay with him based on the size)!

We are looking forward to our Annual Neighborhood Picnic this weekend. Hope everyone is enjoying the summer.
